Trusted by 57% of the Fortune 500
In 2024, our energy conservation services saved clients:
- 144.5 million kilowatt-hours of energy (enough to power 13,035 homes a year)
- 638.5 million British thermal units of natural gas (enough to heat 10,135 homes for a year)
- 102,200 tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalent (equal to the annual emissions of 22,217 gas-powered cars)
- 170,897 gallons of water (enough to meet the daily water use of 2,084 people)
Together, these efforts accumulated a total of $19 million.

Creating pathways to sustainability
Southern Regional Water Supply Facility

ABM led the engineering and installation of a 1.2-megawatt floating solar array for Orange County, Florida. Comprising more than 2,000 panels, the system was designed to withstand extreme weather and deliver long-term renewable energy performance. This project demonstrates the viability of space-optimized clean energy infrastructure for utility-scale clients. It’s the largest of its kind in the Southeastern U.S.
Georgia Institute of Technology

ABM partnered with the Georgia Tech to deliver energy upgrades across two of the university’s most energy-intensive research buildings. Targeted improvements to ventilation and fume hood systems reduced energy consumption by 74% and 53%, respectively. These results exceeded projections and are expected to generate $11.7 million in lifetime cost savings.
JFK Terminal 4

JFK Terminal 4 became the first and only pre-existing air terminal to achieve LEED Platinum certification. ABM supported this distinction by deploying IoT-enabled systems and predictive maintenance technologies that enhance operational efficiency and cleanliness. Compared to similar facilities, Terminal 4 now uses 21% less water, 2.25% less electricity, and has reduced greenhouse gas emissions by 2%.

Our Corporate Responsibility Report provides clients with a transparent view of our environmental performance, governance practices, and commitment to continuous improvement.
Weathering historic storms
In 2024, hurricanes Helene and Milton swept through the southeastern U.S., placing immense strain on regional infrastructure. Ahead of both storms, ABM activated RavenVolt’s Cortex remote monitoring platform to test every generator in the projected impact zone, ensuring operational readiness before landfall. As the storms passed, our mobile units and field technicians were already in position to respond.
During Hurricane Helene, RavenVolt’s NOC managed 16 power outages and deployed 40 mobile generators, maintaining 99.9% system uptime while regional outages averaged nearly a full day. When Hurricane Milton followed just days later, our systems achieved 97.9% uptime across 22 managed outage events.
Through proactive monitoring, rapid deployment, and on-the-ground support, ABM delivered uninterrupted power to critical facilities, demonstrating the resilience and precision clients can rely on in moments that matter most.
Building a reliable supply chain
ABM is committed to curating a broad ecosystem of suppliers that enhances our service delivery and fuels economic vitality in the communities where we operate. We recognize that economically empowered businesses, in addition to strengthening our supply chain, also contribute to the long-term sustainability and growth of our markets.
Our Strategic Partner & Supplier Inclusion Program plays a key role in developing a resilient supply chain aligned with our go-to-market strategies and broader business objectives. Through this program, we aim to:

- Establish engagement structures that drive socially responsible outcomes for local communities
- Build collaborative relationships with leading supplier organizations
- Unlock new growth opportunities by expanding our supplier base and widening supply options for our clients
- Extend our Strategic Partner Program internationally.
Securing business continuity
From our office locations across all 50 U.S. states and many international locations, to the tens of thousands of team members who travel to client sites every day to support their facilities, extreme weather events pose risks to our safe and efficient provision of service.
To mitigate these risks, we have created contingency and business continuity plans, as well as crisis management and disaster recovery procedures, to navigate any adverse or severe weather conditions that could affect service delivery.
In collaboration with ABM’s Safety and Risk teams and legal teams, we have developed and regularly review crisis management and disaster recovery procedures to ensure we and our teams are prepared to navigate adverse weather conditions that could impact our operations.

We continuously drive improvements in health and safety, boost productivity, and enhance occupant experience and satisfaction, while focusing on client sustainability priorities
Revolutionizing facility care
IoT sensor technology
We install IoT-enabled sensors in paper towel dispensers and restrooms to optimize restocking, reduce waste, and improve labor efficiency. These sensors track usage patterns and integrate with ABM Connect™ to support data-driven service scheduling and real-time facility performance monitoring.
AI-powered waste management
In partnership with Recycle Track Systems, we offer the Pello Sensor—an AI-powered solution that monitors bin fill levels, tracks container locations, and identifies contamination. This technology improves service accuracy, reduces costs, and increases diversion rates across client waste programs.
Robotic cleaning
ABM is piloting robotic vacuum systems across select facilities to improve the consistency and efficiency of routine cleaning. By automating repetitive tasks, our janitorial teams can focus on high-detail work, elevating the overall cleanliness and experience of each space. Expansion of this program is currently underway based on strong initial results.
Nontoxic cleaning
For industries with high sanitation standards, such as aviation, ABM offers Aqueous Ozone—a chemical-free, fast-acting cleaning solution. This eco-friendly oxidizer meets health department requirements, reduces chemical costs by up to 93%, and cuts drying times by up to 60%, all while eliminating residue and airborne irritants.
Inspire Today's InnovationAligned with client priorities
ABM’s governance structure safeguards and advances client interests at every level. In partnership with independent director-led committees, our board provides disciplined oversight over sustainability and responsibility performance. We work closely to anticipate risks and shape real-time business strategies, ensuring transparency and long-term value.
