ABM integrates environmental responsibility into core operations and client offerings. We reduce our environmental footprint, and that of our more than 20,000 clients, through targeted emissions reduction initiatives, electrification efforts, and resource-efficient service delivery.
Our sustainability-driven offerings include eMobility solutions to support growing EV adoption, encompassing power infrastructure upgrades (i.e., on-site renewables and microgrid solutions), facility energy efficiency improvement projects, and environmentally responsible cleaning and waste removal services.
These solutions help clients across 19 industries achieve their environmental goals while staying compliant with regulatory standards and meeting rising stakeholder expectations.

The Team Member Relief Fund provides emergency financial assistance to ABM team members facing unforeseen personal hardship. Named in honor of Bill Steele—whose legacy of leadership and deep commitment to frontline team members shaped the culture of care at ABM—the fund reflects our belief in supporting one another through life’s most challenging moments.
This grant-based program is funded by and for the ABM community, with no repayment required. Eligible U.S.-based Staff & Management and Frontline team members who have been employed for six months or more may apply. Grants are awarded to help cover critical needs such as housing insecurity, medical emergencies, and other qualifying financial hardships.
Since its launch, the fund has supported over 400 team members and continues to serve as a vital resource during times of crisis. Expansion to the U.K. and Ireland is currently underway.

ABM partners with a variety of charitable organizations that align with its values and community focus. 90 Days to Make a Difference
Every year from June through August, we hold a “90 Days to Make a Difference” summer campaign that invites team members to get involved with their communities through activities like using their paid day off to participate in a local charity event and donating to a cause that is meaningful to them.
Throughout the 90 days, monthly themes, ideas, and stories of philanthropic efforts are shared to encourage the spirit of giving and inspire team member participation. In the last week of our 2024 campaign, we offered a ‘Double Matching Week’ to further empower our team members to give back.
Responsible business practices
Robust corporate governance is integral to ABM’s performance and public company responsibilities. ABM’s Board of Directors contains individuals with a well-rounded variety of experiences, qualifications, attributes and skills, representing a mix of perspectives that contribute to the Company’s execution of its business and strategies. Our Board and its Committees provide oversight of strategy, risk, compliance, and corporate responsibility performance, including environmental and social risks.
The Board’s Stakeholder and Enterprise Risk Committee oversees risks related to (i) certain social issues, including, but not limited to, culture and inclusion, employee engagement, talent acquisition, development, and retention, and health and safety; (ii) certain environmental issues, including, but not limited to, climate change, emissions tracking and energy consumption; and (iii) cybersecurity, including by reviewing the Company’s cybersecurity risk tolerances and mitigation strategies.
